We worked together as part of the executive team at Nimbus which we grew from a startup in a bedroom in a small fishing village in the UK in 1997 to a global software company that had an enviable client list including 10% of the Fortune 500. Clients such as Nestle, Sara Lee, BP, Chevron, Barclays, Northern Trust, AstraZeneca, Novartis, and local and central Government. In 2011 Nimbus was acquired by TIBCO and the executive team disbanded.

A serial tech entrepreneur where his passion and energy is infectious and inspiring. As CEO of Nimbus, he guided the company from a start up through funding rounds to a successful exit into TIBCO. Ian is the author of 8 books and is a prolific blogger with a rare ability to make the complex seem simple which makes him a popular and entertaining conference speaker.

With a background in R&D he was CIO and COO of Nimbus. Prior to that he was responsible for R&D at a series of global software firms. An experienced software entrepreneur, strategy consultant and interim CEO. He provides strategy consulting to a number of businesses with an emphasis on leveraging IT and optimising operations. With a background in R&D he was CIO and COO of Nimbus. He was turnaround CEO of a startup in the oil and gas drilling space where he redefined their product strategy based on the buying culture of their target market.
Richard Parker
Founder & Chief Customer Officer
He grew the Nimbus revenue from zero to $17m per annum with some of the largest enterprises in the world. Co-founder of Nimbus and key to the development of the product and approach. He led Sales and Consulting globally, from zero to $17m per annum with some of the largest enterprises in the world, including Nestlé, Orange, Chevron, AstraZeneca, Novartis, Philips and Central Government. Richard is an author of Common Approach, Uncommon Results and is an experienced conference speaker.
